A Day with Cloud (What I found on my Doorstep OVA)



Zack rolled over, burying his face farther into his warm covers to avoid waking up. His attempts to hide were failures as he noticed something warm on his right side, near the elbow of his arm. The raven immedetly looked over to see the little blond neko from the day before curled up into his side. The older almost woke Cloud up but he didn't, leaving the neko to sleep as he got up and thought about how the little one could have found his room.

He's a neko you moron, Zack thought, they can smell better than you! The spiky haired man sighed, making a mental note to dress Cloud properly when he finished his shower. The older hopped into the shower quickly, thinking over what he could do to let Cloud have some fun today. Take him out? Zack grinned, yeah that'll be perfect! I'll just have to dress him first... will my stuff fit such a small neko? He looks a little unhealthy.... he was pretty skinny.

"Hau?"

"Cloud!" Zack yelped, peeking out of the shower to stare at the blond neko sitting in the doorway of his bathroom. The raven panicked, "C-Cloud y-you can't come in when I'm taking a shower... you'll have to wait outside in my room." the raven explained, Cloud tilting it's head to the side. Zack facepalmed, finishing his shower and dressing himself before leading the little blond to his dresser. "I wonder if some of my stuff will fit you, Cloud."

"Hau?"

Zack smiled, Cloud needs to learn some words too. He pulled out a large tee-shirt and a pair of jean shorts with a pair of kaki sandals, turning to show them to Cloud. "Okay Cloud..."

Cloud was soon dressed perfectly. Zack had to cut a hole in Cloud's shorts for his small, fluffy tail to hang out of; The raven grinned and patted Cloud's head, making the little neko smile back. "Hau!" he meowed happily.

"Okay- lets get something to eat in the kitchen. Then- I'll take you out for the day, okay?" Zack planned, Cloud nodding as if he understood the older male. The raven lead Cloud downstairs and into the kitchen, grabbing a pan and mix from the cabnits, "Cloud- I hope you like pancakes because thats the only thing I can cook thats not actually deadly to all humans." Zack laughed, Cloud tilting it's head.

The raven grinned, soon finishing with his food and bringing some to Cloud. The blond smiled more, looking at the pancakes as Zack picked one up, "Taste it Cloud." he said. The neko blinked and leaned his head down to bite at the pancake, Zack laughing. "No no Cloud. Don't bite at the plate. Pick it up then eat it."

"Hau..?" Cloud asked, picking it up and immedetly flinching as it stung his palm. It was hot and Cloud began licking his palm, Zack blinked, leaning over the table and picking the pancake up for him, "Here. Bite the side instead." he said. Cloud looked up and nodded, leaning to bite the pancake and chew on his peice. Zack smiled, "There we go."

Cloud mirrored his smile, a gleam visable in his bright blue eyes. Zack thought, still such a beautiful smile.

Cloud and Zack ended up heading to the mall, where three people waved to them. The raven waved back, grinning as he reconized Aerith and Cissnei.

"Zack!" Aerith called, running over to him as Cissnei followed. Aerith stopped and looked at Cloud who was beside Zack with a nervous look on his face. The brunette smiled softly, "When did you get a neko, Zack? They cost a fortune! 890 gil at least!" she asked, leaning down to pet Cloud's ears. The raven blinked, "N-No no! I found him on my doorstep yesterday evening... So I decided to kind of...keep him..."

"Aww- your so sweet Zack!" Cissnei smiled, petting the nervous looking neko as well. Zack laughed nervously, "I think Cloud's uncomfortable..." he said to the swooning girls."Hau..." Cloud mummbeled. Aerith smiled, "He's adorable! Why would anyone want to throw this little guy away?" she asked, Cissnei nodding, "Poor little guy.."

"Don't know..." Zack shrugged, being able to get the girls off the small neko before leading them all over to a table near a huge fountain. They all fitted into the seats and started talking, all except for Cloud who eventually ended up wandering away from them. By the time Aerith noticed, the little blond neko was already gone.

"Um... Zack? Where did Cloud go?"

"Huh? What're you talking about-! Cloud?!" Zack got up and looked around, "Cloud?" he shouted, with no reply. Aerith and Cissnei turned on their cell phones and they all agreed to split up to find Cloud. Zack was beating himself up mentally though- how could he let Cloud wander off?

"C-Cloud?"

The little neko was perched next to a rack of toy mice in the middle of the pet store. Zack stared while Cloud uselessly placed his fingers on the toy mice that were running around on the floor. The raven almost burst out laughing, "You ran off for toy mice?"

"Hau!"

Zack grinned, leaning down to start up a playtoy and let it drive Cloud crazy as he tried to catch it, each time he missed by a couple inches. The amused couple continued playing with the mice until the raven finally bought some for Cloud, the little blond mewling to have them even though Zack told him he'd have to wait a little while. Zack, Aerith, and Cissnei all agreed to buy Cloud a collar and a tag.

"We should get the blue one!" Aerith grinned, Cissnei nodding, "It'll totally match his eyes won't it?" she added as Aerith attatched the collar to Cloud. "Okay- now a tag! Zack get one!" the raven nodded, picking out a small heart shaped tag and had his name and address imprinted on it and it was attatched to Cloud's blue collar. Aerith grinned, "How cute!"

By near Midnight, Zack and Cloud came back to Zack's house, the raven carrying a couple of bags from earlier days and setting them down, 'This is why I don't go with Cissnei and Aerith much. They buy to many things! Look at the stuff they bought you!"

"Hau..." Cloud looked at Zack with a sleepy expression on his face, the raven smiling and picking up his neko."Tired, Cloudy?"

"Hau..."

Zack smiled, kissed Cloud's forehead and whispered a affectonate saying before laying Cloud down on the couch and putting a movie on, the two cuddeling up under a blanket and falling asleep.
