Safer then Never Chapt. 6

"I beleive you have my neko."

Zack growled a little, stanindg there in his doorway, "How is that so?" he asked. Once this man wasfinishing his firt sentance, Cloud scampered away quickly to hide in a cabnit. From what this man said, his name was Kuja. He had photographs of a younger Cloud, and a paper on his regrestration. Zack took them and looked them over, seeing if they were somehow legit. "If he's yours then why was he on the street battered and bruised?" Zack asked.

Kuja leaned on the doorframe, "He got out obviously." Zack glared, "The abuse says otherwise." he said, crossing his arms across his chest.  Don't you expect when a pet gets out for it to be a little hurt? If not, you have some wild imagination." Kuja smiled slightly, almost smirking."From what he tells me, its a completley diffrent situation, and I don't blame him." Zack retorted, trying to trick a lier like Kuja wasn't easy.

"Oh contrare, Cloud usually has delusions on all sorts of things." Kuja said, his eyes flashing a little. Zack retrned it, "And your the cause." he replied. Kuja laughed, "Oh my,  Cloud seems to have been widley drawn! And anyway, thank you for keeping my neko for me, he was just s hard to track down after he was gone. I'll be he was so scared, was he not?" Kuja teased. Zack only glared, saying nothing to the silverette.

Kuja then burst out laughing at his face, "Oh, you are good! All right, I admit it. I beat Clod until he was nothing but misrable and terrified of everyone around him. But you, my dear friend, won't tell anyone." Kuja said. "And why wouldn't I?" he asked. Kuja grinned smuggley, "You sir, could be accused of rapeing a minor."

Zack glared more, "Oh please, what proof would you have of that."

Kuja grinned a little, "Well, the fact you both have an afterglow and Cloud's so damn happy.  he's underage and you had sex with a minor." Kuja explained, holding up a couple of phtographs, "Plus these. But if you don't say anything, I won't have to need them. And you definently don't want me to need these."

"Damnit.. what do you want then?"

Kuja grinned, "My Neko of course."

Zack growled.

"Then you won't give him up willingly?" Kuja asked, loking at his nails and grinning smuggley. Zack sighed, rubbing a hand on the back of his neck. "Make a choice, Fairly." Kuja teased. "Give me a moment." Zack said, practically slamming the door in Kuja's face and he went to see Cloud. The blonde in question was hiding inside of a cabnit again, crying into his knees because he knew Kuja would hurt Zack. But at the same time, he wanted to protect that little peice of his world that wasnt hate or lies.

Zack leaned on his knees and knocked on the exact cabnit Cloud was sobbing inside of. The blonde looked at him and opened the cabnit with puffy eyes and dried tears on his cheeks. Zack rubbed his head, "When is your birthday?" he asked.

"I never really knew for sure. I think I'm sixteen but I look seventeen. Birthday Kuja picked out for me is in two weeks I think..."

"Well shit... does sex with a minor count if its a neko?" Zack wondered out loud, Cloud going back t sitting on the countertop. "I don't know za za...But I'm scared he'll hurt you."

Zack picked up the phone on the wall off it's received and dialed, "Seph should know something about this..." he murmered. Cloud and Kuja sat in the livingroom, chairs across from each other. Kuja kept giving Cloud some dangerous flashes with his eyes, and the neko jumped everytime he saw one. Kuja wanted to hurt him..... he knew it...

"Depends, how old is the neko in question?" Sephiroth asked, Zack hearing a purr from the other line. Sephiroth owned his own neko, Genesis Rhapsodos. "um.. Sixteen..." Zack answered, hearing Sephiroth sigh. "Well, at sixteen, he's concidered a minor. To seventeen year old nekos, the rule won't apply."

"His birthday is in about two weeks." Zack said. The oldest curddeled Genesis in his lap, rubbing his ears., "Whats going on with Cloud, Fair?"

"His old owner is in my livingroom." Zack answered, Sepheroth perked up, "Really? Whats happened?" he asked. The raven sighed, "He wants Cloud back I won't give him back. But he has blackmail of me and Cloud..." he said. "But if I give him back,  he'll beat the shit outa Cloud. He even admitted to it, and he locks him up... and abuses him..."

"Tell Cloud to hang in there, He dosen't know his birthday either right?"

"Right."

"then Kuja dosen't either, get it?" Sephiroth asked.  Zack blinked, 'but Kuja has his papers..." he began, drifting off. The silverette grinned, "Regestration paper, not his personal information." he said. zack blinked again, "So... fake his birthday?"

"Thats right."

The raven walked back into the room, immedetly going ice cold towards Kuja forever. The neko had been grabbed and was now hanging from Kuja's hand about 2 feet off the floor, some furniture had been moved around. Zack flashed his eyes and flipped out, "Give him here! Hands off!" he shouted, grabbing his neko back and snarling at Kuja. "And while your at it, get the hell out of my house!"

Kuja said a few things, then left. Zack gave him the finger on his way out and continued to hold Cloud. Cloud was out, but Zack didn't know that so he smiled and rubbed Cloud's ears. "Wakey Wakey Cloud..."

Cloud didn't move.

Zack started to panic a little, "Com'on Cloud get up." he pleaded, shaking Cloud lightly. Zack then noticed a hand mark on his cheek, indicating why Cloud was out cold and why the furniture had been moved. Kuja must've pinned down Cloud and beat him, and while he was on the phone so he couldn't be paying attention! Tricky bastered...

"God damn it! Who am I supposed to call.."
